In 1989 the Wall between East and West Germany fell. This also led to the dissolution of the Stasi, the Ministry of State Security of the GDR, leaving behind those that had been responsible for repression and surveillance for years. «Im Nebel der Vergangenheit» («In the Mists of the Past») offers personal insights into the stories of three former Stasi employees and shows how they deal with these conflicts and moral dilemmas today.
