An art-based autoethnography with a gender focus reveals how an individual self acts as an instrument through which patriarchy operates, while the same self also has an opportunity to oppose, to re-define and to re-construct realities. Using diverse media, the project shows the deconstruction of gendered social conditioning and the process of overcoming it.
