Colour as Word, Story, Image
Colour involves sensations, feelings, memories and logic. People are aware of colour codes in everyday situations, resulting in agreement on traffic lights and road signs. Context shapes the meanings of colours, but personal and emotional associations influence how people speak about and imagine colours. This thesis explores colour naming through the study of contexts and their impact on linguistic definitions.
