The Role of Arterial Thrombus in Micro-Vessel Occlusions
The narrowing of a coronary artery can be diagnosed through imaging methods, but micro-arteries are hardly visible at all. However, the smallest vessels can also become clogged by detached thrombotic material moving down from the larger vessels and causing tissue damage. In an overview, the design means of 3D, drawing and animation are combined to visualise this process.
