A Design-Based Exploration of the Theme of Travelling in Archival Documents by Female Participants of the Wandervogel Youth Movement
For girls and young women at the beginning of the 20th century, travelling, in the sense of hiking for one or more days, was certainly not the norm. This was particularly true when there were no adults to supervise them. This M.A. thesis traces the experience of travelling, using historical documents from female participants of the Wandervogel movement.
