In «Es härzeli wie n’es Vögeli» («a heart like a bird», after a line in a Swiss folk song), a young woman goes on an audiovisual journey to visit her family wanting to find out the reasons for her self-doubts. In conversations with her sister, mother and grandmother she comes across similarities and is confronted by a dark chapter in Swiss history.
