Dominic Sutter
Where can you be found at ZHdK?
In front of our coffee machine in the student atelier. The machine vibrates quite strongly, and I have to hold the cup as long as the coffee is flowing. It demands a lot of patience from me. So, I've gotten into the habit of looking out of the window or chatting with fellow students during this time. Sometimes I even manage to read half an article in the digital magazine Republik.
Who would you like to work with?
Total Refusal. I like how they playfully hack game systems to draw attention to socio-political problems.
What drives you?
I have a deep-seated inner urge to be creative. When I'm not developing games, I like to take photos, make music or create collages.
What issues are you personally dealing with at the moment?
I live in a very large shared flat with 37 flatmates. We've just been to ski camp together. There I realized how nice it is to live in a heterogeneous community bubble. For me, interacting with other people is incredibly important, especially if they have different ways of thinking - regardless of whether this is due to age or the bubble. Our shared flat is by definition no third place, but up in the ski hut I briefly had the feeling that it wasn't that far away from it.
