Laurin Schaffner works as a Scientific Associate at the Institute for Design Research and at the Digital Health Design Living Lab.
His research focus is on health design, especially on the human-centered development of solutions for daily medical practice. He is particularly interested in the interdisciplinary collaboration of researchers, design teams and healthcare professionals.
In this video interview – an initiative of the Institute for Design Research IDR at ZHdK – he shares insights into the research project 3FOLD, which developed a foldable applicator tool for the biosynthetic envelope Hylomate in order to enable a safe, comfortable and fast implantation of pacemakers.
