Multiple projects nominated for the Design Prize Switzerland

Nominations

Three graduates of the Department of Design are nominated with their projects for the Design Prize Switzerland 2025.

Every two years, the Design Preis Schweiz honours excellent achievements in the Swiss design landscape. In 2025, multiple graduates of the Department of Design are nominated:

The diploma project «Myko» by Tobias Inauen (BA Major Trends & Identity) is nominated in the category «Young Professionals» and for the public vote. In his project, he explores the aesthetic and culinary dimensions of mould through experimental means and turnes a supposed flaw into a design resource.

In the category «Inclusive Design», Philipp Rast (BA Major Industrial Design) is nominated for his diploma project «via». This foldable seat makes it easier for older people to climb stairs and thus supports their mobility and independence.

Fabio Henry, alumnus of the Subject Area Trends & Identity, is also nominated, as part of a team, for designing the Signage at the school at Thurgauerstrasse in Zurich. The project, which is nominated in the category «In Between», transforms the school's architectural elements into a spatial writing system.

The Departement Design congratulates the nominees and is looking forward to the awards ceremony on 7 November, 2025.
