Numerous nominations for ZHdK productions
From 21 January 2026, the Swiss film industry will once again gather in Solothurn for seven days. In its 61st edition, German-speaking Switzerland’s most important film festival will be screening a total of 23 productions from the filmmaking community of the ZHdK.
Two works from the study programme MA Film, Documentary Filmmaking have been selected in the feature film category: Fitting In by Fabienne Steiner and Flying Scents by Antschi von Moos, which has also been nominated as a Panorama feature film in the «Visioni» competition together with Solo Show by Julius Weigel (MA Film, Directing Fiction).
Sechs ZHdK short films are represented in the «Talents» competition. From the Master’s programme in Directing Fiction, Ban Dal by Hae-Sup and Wie war dein Tag? by Kim Gabbi have been selected. The documentary Stefi by Dejan Barac (MA Film, Documentary Filmmaking) is also part of the festival programme. In addition, two works from the Bachelor Film programme will be screened: Buen Vivir – ñutse canseye by Zoé Kugler and Fireline by Francis Benjamin Meier. Alumna Vivian Waldvogel, who completed the BA Design, Cast / Audiovisual Media at ZHdK, is in the running with Hinter verschlossener Tür.
In the «Best Short Film» category, the following ZHdK contributions have been nominated: Air Horse One by master’s student Lasse Linder (MA Film, Documentary), Fuscht im Sack by alumnus Pablo Callisaya (MA Film, Screenwriting), and Versuch, einen Baum in Zürich zu fällen by alumna Lara Alina Hofer from the Bachelor’s programme in Fine Arts.
ZHdK is also strongly represented in Solothurn beyond the competitions:

For audiences, the upcoming festival in Solothurn once again offers the opportunity to discover a wide range of current works by ZHdK students, lecturers and alumni on the big screen.
