The International Eyes & Ears Awards recognise outstanding creative and innovative achievements in design, digital media, promotion and cross-media campaigns within the audiovisual media industry.
At the 28th awards ceremony, three nominated emerging talent teams presented their projects to a live audience. Two were from ZHdK's Bachelor's programme in Cast / Audiovisual Media, while the third was from the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF).
Alexa Weiss receives award for “Echo 1971”
The award-winning documentary “Echo 1971” by ZHdK alumna Alexa Weiss brings together the memories and experiences of eight women who have witnessed social change since the introduction of women's suffrage in Switzerland in 1971. An accompanying website featuring portraits, photographs and archival material offers further insights into their stories.
Julius Bitter and Neda Hofer were also nominated for their project "Cancel Me Softly". The two art students embarked on an unconventional reporting journey to explore lives and perspectives beyond their own social bubble and, in doing so, confront their own inner conflicts.
The awards are presented by the industry association Eyes & Ears of Europe, which has represented the interests of the design, promotion and marketing industry since 1996.
