Exhibition «into – Gemeinsamkeit gestalten»
As part of the 5th edition of Zurich Design Weeks, ZHdK is hosting an exhibition at Toni-Areal. «into – Gemeinsamkeit gestalten», the Department of Design presents works by young designers who offer new perspectives on living together in a complex present.
The present poses challenges that we can only master together. In their works, graduates of the Department of Design approach urgent socio-political topics in an empathetic and responsible way. Through their in-depth approach and multifaceted creative methods, they are doing important translational work that creates proximity, moves and encourages.
The spectrum of the exhibition «into» ranges from a playful installation exploring nonverbal communication to a reflection on shared struggles for women's suffrage. The exhibited works call for a stance, for sensuality – for connection – in complex times.
Zurich Design Weeks 2026 at Toni-Areal
Switzerland’s largest design festival offers a diverse programme of exhibitions, installations, talks and workshops. Taking place at venues across the city each year, Zurich Design Weeks will also be present at ZHdK this year.
“into” is an initiative of the Department of Design. The exhibition runs from 17 to 27 September 2026, Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 5 pm, at Toni-Areal, Nordraum 3.T06.
- Opening: Thursday, 17 September 2026, 6–9 pm
- Guided tour (in German) followed by an aperitif: Thursday, 24 September 2026, 5.30 pm
- Guided tour (in German) with the exhibitors: Saturday, 26 September 2026, 2 pm
The exhibition and guided tours are free of charge.
