Exhibition «Planet Digital»
In the exhibition «Planet Digital» at the Museum für Gestaltung Zurich, the further development of Paulina Zybinska's master's thesis is shown. Paulina was a participant in the IDE's Junior Research in Design program last year. In her work «Faketual Reality», she explores how fictitious identities can be faked with the help of technical algorithms.
The work «All the Lives» was realised under the direction of Björn Franke and in collaboration with Nadine Cocina from the subject area Interaction Design. In the immersive installation, the audience can engage with this new technology to virtually experience different life situations. Through a deep fake algorithm, image and voice samples of the visitor are integrated into short films that depict them in alternative states of life.
The exhibition was designed based on 23 current research projects and realized together with the University of Zurich, the Museum für Gestaltung, the Zurich University of the Arts and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.
