Linking Cultures
Linking Cultures: A Virtual Lecture Series between five art schools has started
The lecture series "What design can do" is part of the project Linking Cultures, an online exchange program between students and lecturers from American University of Beirut (AUB), American University in Cairo (AUC), Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), École Supérieure des Arts Visuels de Marrakech (ESAV) and Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).
An input lecture takes place every week from a faculty member from one of the five institutions for the duration of the project. See the full program attached as a PDF. To attend the online lectures on Zoom, please register.
The project “What design can do” intends to promote the exchange and cooperation between five schools from five countries with different languages and cultures. Ten mixed teams will work together critically and constructively on the given topic. It is left to the students to approach the topic from different aspects like society, culture, economy, education, gender or environment. Equally open are the potential outcomes. At the end, on April 24th 1:00 pm, a large, public presentation is planned.

The project is organized by Peter Vetter and Larissa Holaschke, specialization Trends & Identity.
