The lecturers Dr Beat Suter, René Bauer and Dr Mela Kocher from the subject area Game Design have published the book "Narrative Mechanics. Strategies and Meanings in Games and Real Life".

What do stories in games have in common with political narratives? 17 authors address this question and illustrate how the narrative mechanisms so clearly identifiable in games are increasingly used (and misused) in politics and social life. The publication brings together contributions from the annual gameZ & ruleZ conference.
