ÆMA — In Search of Naturalness
Under constant observation from other people and everyday data analysis tools, our behaviour adapts. We have begun to move, dress, post, and even express emotions in standardised ways, trying to look “right”. Over time, that pressure can make “naturalness” disappear. This project traces that shift through images. I analyse my own photographs alongside found footage, looking for small, everyday expressions we usually don’t notice—moments where “naturalness” appears, and where it starts to disappear.
