How should physical contact feel to you? Caught between repulsion and routine, care can seem distant; it is often associated with disgust, and skin contact becomes a challenge. Care baths are governed by standards of efficiency and hygiene, and the touches feel hurried and functional. The Bathers is an inclusive, educational project at the intersection of design and care, aimed at people with special needs as well as carers in residential and care homes.
