Broken and discarded – that is the fate of many kitchen appliances. They are difficult to repair, new ones are cheap because of mass production, and we have no emotional attachment to such products. Taking the kettle as an example, this project explores whether there is an appliance logic which could make such everyday essentials durable and suitable for circular use.
